Urlpreview

This package was added to allow a way to capture basic site meta data such as:

• title
• description
• url
• images

The real purpose of this package is to allow url previews within various sites. Im new to this so if you have any suggestions submit a PR.

Installation

Include the package in mix.exs:

def deps do
  [{:urlpreview, "~> 0.0.3"}]
end

Then use it in the following way:

if Urlpreview.is_valid_url?("http://www.google.com") do
  preview = Urlpreview.preview("http://www.google.com")
end

The following properties are currently available

preview.real_url
preview.url
preview.description
preview.images <- list of site images
preview.title
