BroadwayKafka

A Kafka connector for Broadway.

Installation

Add :broadway_kafka to the list of dependencies in mix.exs:

def deps do
  [
    {:broadway_kafka, "~> 0.1.1"}
  ]
end

Usage

Configure Broadway's producer using BroadwayKafka.Producer:

  defmodule MyBroadway do
    use Broadway

    def start_link(_opts) do
      Broadway.start_link(__MODULE__,
        name: __MODULE__,
        producer: [
          module: {BroadwayKafka.Producer, [
            hosts: [localhost: 9092],
            group_id: "group_1",
            topics: ["test"],
          ]},
          concurrency: 1
        ],
        processors: [
          default: [
            concurrency: 10
          ]
        ]
      )
    end

    def handle_message(_, message, _) do
      IO.inspect(message.data, label: "Got message")
      message
    end
  end
